“Set amidst truly beautiful natural scenery, the lodges here offer a genuinely peaceful escape, with the private hot tubs being a considerable draw for unwinding. The grounds themselves are a pleasant surprise, home to peacocks that add a unique touch, and the accommodation is consistently well-appointed and comfortable. I found the first-floor lounge in Whitecombe Lodge particularly noteworthy for its stunning Lake District views and the inviting warmth of the real fire.”
